Windows Phone allows you send automatic text replies when you aren’t in a place to take calls. You can also configure up to 4 auto text replies in your phone.
Whenever you get a call from any of your contacts, you will see 3 options; answer, ignore, text reply. If you choose to “text reply”, the phone will end the call and will display a set of text replies which you can select to send as a message to the caller or you can also type or dictate your own.
Below are the steps which will help you to configure your own set of replies.
- Navigate to settings.
- Swipe right to applications.
- Tap on phone.
- Ensure that you have turned on “Text reply” (you will not see the option to “text reply” on an incoming call if this option is turned off).
- Tap on “edit replies”.
- You will see a page with 4 text reply options.
- Add / edit the replies per your choice.
- Tap done.
The next time you get a call and you choose to “text reply”, you will see your new set of replies to send.
